Ladies Walk & Talk Group Preston 10K Pledge is fundraising for The World Is Yours

Global Relief Trust strives to ensure that every Muslim has access to such a sacred place. We actively collaborate with impoverished and isolated communities, constructing mosques in neglected areas where easy access to prayer is desperately needed.
This special project is for a masjid in the rural parts of Uganda where there is only trees and palms as a masjid!
For nearly 5 years, our Sunday walking group has been more than just a group of women who walk together.
We have walked through seasons of life together — supporting, encouraging and carrying one another through moments of joy, hardship and, sadly, the loss of people we love including husbands, parents , siblings & children.
Now, we want to turn those memories into something that
continues to give
🕌 Our pledge
Together, we have pledged to raise £10,000 towards the
building of a mosque in Uganda.
We intend to dedicating the reward of this sadaqah jariyah to our loved ones who have passed away.
A mosque is a place where people will pray, learn Qur'an, make dhikr, gather as a community and worship Allah — and we pray that every salah, every sujood, every Qur'an recitation and every good deed carried out there will be a source of ongoing reward for those we remember.
We know that £10,000 is a big target, but we also know what
can happen when people come together with sincere hearts and a shared purpose.

Our walks began as a way of looking after one another.
Now, we hope to build something that continues to benefit
others long after our walks are over. 🤍
