I'm Umm Ruqayya - I am an NHS ops manager within the Women & Children's division of my local care organisation, and I am passionate about improving inequalities of access through faith and education. I work with schools to help girls flourish, and women through my passion project, Hikmah Birthing.
As a qualified hypnobirthing instructor, I developed Hikmah Birthing to help Muslim Women learn about birth and birthing through an Islamic lens. This course has been designed to empower and elevate couples in their deen through their birthing journey.
The Code Red campaign is all about increasing access to feminine hygiene kits i.e. period pads... (with a vision to provide sustainable, eco friendly versions) - this completely aligns with my values!)
I would love for support the Code RED campaign through all my endeavours, and provide others an opportunity to share the 'Ajr.
