Welcome to the Salaam Cafe fundraiser page! Salaam Cafe is a monthly communial therapeutic space held in the heart of East London, focusing on the working through and the exploration of death, grief and bereavement. Held and facilitated by Henna Mohammed, a qualified counsellor whose passionate about eradicating stigma and normalising conversations surrounding grief within the Muslim community. Salaam cafe was born out of the need of creating safe spaces, in which people who have been touched by loss can come to together and foster a sense of companionship as well as being able to be with their feelings of grief in a non judgement and compassion space.
One of the various ways we can honour as well as stay connected to those who we have lost and have gone before us, is through charity/Sadqa Jariya.
GRT have generously set up various charity avenues and Sadqa Jariya packages for people who wish to benefit those who have passed from this world.
