Last Ramadan, I had the privilege of visiting refugee camps in Syria. With Ramadan approaching us once again, I'm raising vital donations before my visit in a few weeks for thousands of displaced families still living in tents and uninhabitable circumstances.
It is no exaggeration that almost all women and children we spoke to had lost a close loved one under the horrors of war or earthquake or both, evidencing long-term devastation across the region.
Whilst liberation from tyranny has lifted a darkness from the Syrian people, thousands of families still require critical support to recover from the destruction and devastation. They need your help.

Global Relief Trust is on the ground supporting displaced Syrian families, including:
- Rehousing families from wind-beaten tents into stable homes they permanently own, fitted with a direct water supply,
- Repairing homes which are in dire need of attention,
- Providing vital physiotherapy for those physically impacted by the war,
- Orphan sponsorships,
- Women's hygiene essential packs,
- Education programmes,
- Support with general livelihood through programmes such as olive tree plantation.
