Zilu Miah is fundraising for Saving Lives
Supporting Communities in Bangladesh
Our volunteer team will be travelling to Bangladesh to visit and support charitable projects working with some of the country’s most vulnerable communities. The visit will include medical initiatives, services for children living and working on the streets, and humanitarian projects supporting Rohingya refugees.
This journey is about more than visiting projects. It will
allow volunteers to meet local partners, understand the challenges communities
face and see how donations are being used. Working alongside experienced local
organisations, we aim to raise awareness, strengthen existing services and help
projects reach more people in need.
The projects provide essential assistance, including:
medical consultations, treatment and essential medicines;
food, safe spaces, education and protection for vulnerable
children;
healthcare and humanitarian support for Rohingya refugee
families; and
practical resources for trusted local teams delivering
long-term support.
Every donation, whatever its size, can make a meaningful
difference. Funds raised will be directed towards the needs identified by the
projects and may help purchase medicines, medical supplies, food, educational
materials, hygiene products and other essential resources.
We are committed to approaching this visit with dignity, respect and accountability. Our volunteers will listen to local communities, follow safeguarding requirements and work under the guidance of established partners. The people we meet will be treated as individuals with strengths, aspirations and voices—not simply as recipients of aid.
Following the visit, we will share appropriate updates about the projects, the support delivered and the difference your donations have helped make, while protecting the privacy and dignity of the communities involved.
