Assalamu Alaikum
As a supporter and/or well wisher of i-Aspire Foundation, we would like to invite you to be part of our first active role in a long term project where i-Aspire will be supporting the running costs of an intensive care unit in Yemen.
Yemen's healthcare system is collapsing due to a severe lack of resources and vital
medical equipment, including ICU facilities. According to an NCBI article, the shortage of
ICUs in Al-Hudaydah has contributed to rising mortality rates and the inability to treat
diseases like COVID-19, underscoring a critical issue that demands urgent humanitarian
action.
Leveraging the expertise of GRT UK’s experienced field officers in humanitarian aid, we aim establish an intensive care unit to address urgent healthcare needs and improve outcomes in Ta’iz and Al-Hudaydah. This initiative involves procuring
equipment, overseeing installations and maintenance, coordinating with stakeholders for system integration, and implementing rigorous quality assurance processes.
Our goal is to ensure this unit effectively supports disease treatment and addresses critical illnesses, delivering vital aid to those in need.
i-Aspire are working alongside GR UK to help build the infrastructure and purchase medical equipment including the use of beds, monitors, ventilators, defibrillators, etc.
This will also entail ensuring the secure storage, transport and integration of valuable materials and equipment to implement a centralised ICU department in the facility, ensuring quality deliverables, and efficient resource allocation.
THIS PROJECT IS ZAKAT ELIGIBLE
Global Relief Trust is committed to providing aid in the country or programme that you select. In the event we complete the project or programme, exceed the required target, or are denied access or unable to deliver aid to a particular country for reasons beyond our control, Global Relief Trust reserves the right to reallocate your donation to another project or programme where it is needed most.
All donations not marked with instructions will go into our unrestricted pot and will be used where needed most.
