Yemen Crisis: Families Are Being Forced From Their Homes
After more than a decade of conflict, families in Yemen are once again facing a rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation. GRT's Yemen Appeal is helping us respond to urgent needs as the crisis develops.
Since fighting intensified on 3 September 2026, more than 5,600 households have been displaced across Taiz and southern Al Hudaydah, according to the United Nations.
Shelling reportedly struck displacement sites, killing children and injuring civilians. Some shelters have been destroyed, leaving families with nowhere to sleep but in the open.

Global Relief Trust has been supporting vulnerable communities in Yemen for years.
Our work has included malnutrition treatment, food assistance, homes, bakeries, water projects and cash assistance, supporting families facing some of the country's most difficult conditions.

- CASH ASSISTANCE: Helping displaced families meet urgent everyday needs.
- SHELTER & ESSENTIAL ITEMS: Supporting families who have lost their homes or belongings with emergency shelter and essential household items.
- WATER & HYGIENE: Helping families access safe drinking water and essential hygiene support.
- MEDICAL CARE: Supporting urgent healthcare for people affected by the crisis, including those requiring treatment following injury.
Global Relief Trust is committed to providing aid in the country or programme that you select. In the event we complete the project or programme, exceed the required target, or are denied access or unable to deliver aid to a particular country for reasons beyond our control, Global Relief Trust reserves the right to reallocate your donation to another project or programme where it is needed most.
All donations not marked with instructions will go into our unrestricted pot and will be used where needed most
