Malawi

The country of Malawi faces immense challenges, with it being ranked as the 174th out of 189 countries on the Human Development Index. Over half of its population live below the poverty line, and an alarming one in five people exists in extreme poverty, struggling for basic survival.

Daily life in Malawi is a constant battle against barriers to essential services. Access to clean water is not universal, sanitation facilities are inadequate, and health care is often out of reach, particularly for those in rural areas where resources are scarce.

Global Relief Trust (GRT) has taken a stand against the adversities that the people of Malawi face. GRT’s initiatives focus on immediate and tangible improvements – from regular food distributions that alleviate the pangs of hunger for those in dire need, to water solution projects that ensure access to clean, safe drinking water, transforming the daily lives of thousands.

Beyond addressing immediate needs, GRT seeks sustainable solutions to empower communities for the long term. The upcoming building projects are intended to be more than just structures; they're investments in the health, education, and well-being of Malawians, laying the groundwork for a brighter future.

Supporting GRT's work in Malawi is more than charity; it's an investment in humanity. Every pound donated goes towards creating an environment where those who have faced unfathomable hardships can stand firmly on the path to self-sufficiency. Turn compassion into action – consider donating to Malawi through GRT to be part of a pivotal and positive change.

In the event we complete the project or programme, exceed the required target, or are denied access or unable to deliver aid to a particular country for reasons beyond our control, Global Relief Trust reserves the right to reallocate your donation to another project or programme where it is needed most.

All donations not marked with instructions will go into our unrestricted pot and will be used where needed most
