800 women die every day due to complications during pregnancy or childbirth. That’s 1 mother, every 2 minutes.

Across the world today, mothers are facing some of the most dangerous and heartbreaking conditions imaginable. In places affected by war, hunger, and collapsing healthcare systems, such as Gaza, Sudan, and Yemen, pregnamcy and childbirth have become life-threatening

In times of conflict, expectant mothers are often the forgotten victims. When hospitals are destroyed and doctors are forced to flee, there is nowhere safe for women to turn. Many are forced to give birth in overcrowded shelters, damaged homes, or refugee camps with little medical support. Clean water is scarce. Sanitation is poor. Medical equipment and trained staff are often unavailable. What should be a moment of joy becomes a moment of fear, as mothers risk their lives simply to bring a child into the world.
