🔥Save the lives of Starving Children in Gaza and Sudan 🔥
Children in Gaza and Sudan are starving and suffering from Severe Life Threatening Malnutrition - meaning they will die if they do not receive the right support.
Refeeding Syndrome: A Hidden Danger of Starvation - Refeeding syndrome is a serious and potentially life-threatening condition that can occur when someone who has been starving or severely malnourished begins eating again too quickly. During prolonged starvation, the body exhausts its glucose stores and turns to fat and then protein to survive. When food - especially carbohydrates - is suddenly reintroduced, it triggers rapid shifts in fluids and essential minerals like phosphate, potassium, and magnesium. These shifts can cause heart failure, respiratory problems, seizures, and even death.
In normal circumstances, refeeding syndrome can be prevented. Patients identified as high risk are managed in hospital with regular blood tests, intravenous fluids containing vital salts, and a gradual reintroduction of food, carefully tailored to their weight and nutritional status.
But in Gaza, this kind of care is no longer possible. The population has endured months of forced starvation, and the healthcare system has been systematically dismantled. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are now at risk of developing refeeding syndrome - and without access to hospitals, labs, or monitoring, many may die not from hunger itself, but from the very act of eating again.

• Midland International Aid Trust (MIAT) - DOR (Doctors of Rahman) is working to deliver ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) recommended by the WHO and widely used by UNICEF and other relief organisations for into Gaza and Sudan. It is a nutrient-dense peanut paste enriched with vitamins, minerals, sugar, vegetable oil, and milk powder - specially designed to treat severe acute malnutrition in children from as young as 6 months.
Just three sachets a day for 7 weeks can save a child’s life. The cost of a full treatment course for one child is ~£100 – FOR JUST £100 YOU CAN SAVE THE LIFE OF A STARVING CHILD IN GAZA.
We are looking to raise £100,000 – to help over 1000 starving children in Gaza (this includes the cost of air transport to get life saving treatment to where it needs to go as soon as possible).
Hence we need 1000 donors to donate £100 to save a child’s life in Gaza and Sudan!
Every donation no matter how small can provide life-saving nutrition to children who have already survived the worst - now, they need help surviving recovery.
Please donate generously!
