Disclaimer: No zakat accepted due to the nature of our service.
There is a growing mental health crisis impacting our children. Research shows about 1 in 5 children and young people had a probable mental disorder (NHS England, 2023). Muslim children face additional pressures such as difficulties with identity, Islamophobia and the impact of international events.
Your donations will support Ihsaan to help continue to address the crisis. This specific project will help us develop a mental health programme for mosques and madrasas to support the emotional and spiritual well being of our children. The programme will support them to understand their well being from an Islamic perspective, develop coping skills and their resilience. The programme will also incorporate support for mosque/madrasa staff and parents.
The programme will be designed by a team of experts including clinical psychologists, Islamic scholars, teachers, researchers and counsellors.
The resources will be piloted with our local partner mosques and madrasas.
We shall train mosque and madrasa staff to deliver the programme.
We shall research and evaluate the effectiveness of the programme.
The programme will be made available internationally following the pilot.
The programme compliments our other work for the community see our website for more information.
Help us to help our future generation in this blessed month!
