Assalamu Alaikum,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I started my running journey soon after the unexpected death of my five year old son, who went to bed and never woke up. As a parent you never recover from this and I found running as a way of coping with the grief.
My journey over the last few years has culminated with being selected for running my first ever full marathon just before I turn 50 years old.
I am told the London marathon is the best in the world to run, but one of hardest marathons to get a place in. I feel extremely privileged to have this once in a lifetime opportunity and want to use it to raise much needed funds to help communities in need of medical assistance.
I am therefore dedicating my London marathon to the memory of my son, Ismaeel Rahim and will be raising money for MIAT- Midland International Aid Trust's Doctors of Rahman Initaitive.
